Tohumluk Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2020 under the leadership of artist Pınar Ayhan. Inspired by the belief that rural communities and cities have much to learn from one another, we design and support projects that strengthen education, culture, arts, science, sports, sustainable production and community solidarity.
We believe that lasting social change begins with opportunity. By working alongside local communities, volunteers, educators, artists, professionals and young people, we help create environments where knowledge is shared, creativity flourishes and communities grow stronger together.
Every project we undertake is a seed planted for future generations.
Our Inspiration
In Turkish, “Tohumluk” refers to seeds carefully preserved for future planting. They are not consumed today because they carry the promise of tomorrow’s harvest.
Inspired by this idea, Tohumluk Foundation invests in people, knowledge, culture and creativity—planting seeds that will grow into lasting social impact.
Like the dandelion in our logo, we believe that a single seed, carried by the wind, can travel far and create new beginnings in unexpected places.

Why is the Tohumluk Foundation in villages?
MISSION
The Tohumluk Foundation, aiming to find solutions to the problems threatening our future—the problems facing our country and the world—within the framework of universal values, and guided by the principle that "villagers and city dwellers should learn from each other," contributes to rural development and social integration by creating projects that nurture the bonds between villagers and city dwellers, and between the past and the present, directly or through social assistance in the fields of education, culture, art, science, and sports.
VISION
The goal of the Tohumluk Foundation is to become a universal role model by ensuring that the seeds it sows in the fields of education, culture, art, science, and sports—like the dandelion, the foundation's symbol, whose seeds are scattered by the wind and reach far and wide—spread to every corner of our country, thereby integrating rural and urban areas.
