Purpose of the Committee

The Resource Development Committee is responsible for developing sustainable funding opportunities and strengthening the Foundation’s long-term financial capacity. Its objectives are to:

• Support the development of resource mobilization strategies.

• Prepare the annual fundraising plan and budget in line with the approved strategy.

• Coordinate fundraising activities to achieve established goals.

• Build and expand the Foundation’s portfolio of institutional partners and funding sources.

• Develop relationships with prospective donors, sponsors and funding partners.

• Ensure that all fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with the Foundation’s ethical principles.

• Develop, promote and manage products offered through the Foundation’s social enterprise.

• Monitor emerging fundraising trends and evaluate their relevance and applicability to the Foundation.

• Conduct feasibility studies for proposed fundraising projects and campaigns.

• Encourage volunteers and supporters of the Committee to play an active role in fundraising initiatives.

 

Committee Responsibilities

The Committee shall:

• Meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

• Circulate the meeting agenda to members in advance through the Committee’s WhatsApp group and invite additional agenda items.

• Ensure that minutes of each meeting, including discussions and decisions, are prepared by the Committee Secretary and distributed to Committee members and the Board of Directors.

• Make decisions by a majority vote of members present.

• Develop annual work plans and coordinate fundraising activities in a manner that encourages active participation and shared responsibility among Committee members.
