Digital Seeds is an innovative transformation initiative developed by Tohumluk Foundation to help local producers, small businesses and cooperatives in Türkiye’s earthquake-affected regions achieve sustainable growth through digital transformation.
The project equips entrepreneurs with the digital skills they need through training, mentoring and practical support. From digital marketing and e-commerce to branding and online communication, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to reach wider markets, strengthen their businesses and build long-term resilience.
By combining technology with local knowledge and entrepreneurship, Digital Seeds empowers rural communities to recover, grow and create sustainable economic opportunities for the future.

As Tohumluk Foundation, we launched a comprehensive initiative at a regional boarding school in Kiraz, İzmir, to support the cultural, artistic and vocational development of children living in rural communities.
Through this project, we aim to create new opportunities for students to discover their talents, strengthen their self-confidence and imagine broader possibilities for their future.
Village Theatres
Believing in the transformative power of the arts, Tohumluk Foundation established Village Theatres to create spaces where children, young people and women living in rural communities can explore, express and share the issues that matter most to their lives.
More than theatre groups, these community-based initiatives serve as platforms for learning, creativity and social engagement. Through storytelling and performance, participants address topics such as environmental sustainability, climate change, gender equality, cultural heritage and community life, while building confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of belonging.
Village Theatres demonstrate how the arts can inspire dialogue, strengthen communities and empower people to become active participants in shaping their own future.
Let’s Get Kids Into Sport — Opening New Horizons in Rural Communities
Empowering Children in Rural Communities Through Sport
Many talented and motivated children living in rural communities are unable to participate in sports because of limited financial resources, inadequate facilities and restricted access to organized programs.
Through fundraising campaigns organized around charity runs and community sporting events, Tohumluk Foundation raises financial support to provide these children with access to sports training, equipment and opportunities they might otherwise never experience.
We believe that sport is far more than physical activity. It builds confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership, while helping young people develop the skills they need to thrive in a free, inclusive and modern society.
By removing barriers to participation, we aim to ensure that every child—regardless of where they live—has the opportunity to discover their potential and pursue their dreams through sport.
HASAT: Bridging Rural Heritage and Modern Innovation
Committed to strengthening the cultural dialogue between rural and urban communities, Tohumluk Foundation continues to develop projects that preserve, celebrate and reimagine our shared cultural heritage.
One of the Foundation’s most distinctive initiatives is the HASAT Fashion Show—a project that brings forgotten traditions back to life through contemporary design. By transforming traditional craftsmanship, local textiles and Anatolian cultural heritage into modern creations, HASAT celebrates the enduring value of rural knowledge while creating new opportunities for cultural and economic sustainability.
More than a fashion show, HASAT is a tribute to the communities, artisans and traditions that continue to inspire future generations.
100 Heroes for Türkiye’s Centennial
Honouring the People Who Shaped a Nation
100 Heroes for Türkiye’s Centennial is an original Tohumluk Foundation project created to honour the extraordinary men, women and young people who shaped Türkiye’s struggle for independence and the founding years of the Republic.
Through careful research, powerful storytelling and volunteer-driven production, the project brings the lives of 100 remarkable figures from our recent history to new generations. Soldiers, statesmen, local resistance leaders, religious figures, scientists, teachers, tradespeople, women, young people and even children all came together around one shared ideal: freedom and full independence.
Each of them played a distinct note in the great symphony of independence. Under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, they fulfilled their roles with courage, conviction and sacrifice, helping give voice to the freedom of a nation.
From Ankara Mufti Rıfat Börekçi to Yörük Ali Efe, from Behiç Erkin to İngiliz Kemal, from Kırımlı Ayşe Çavuş to District Governor İbrahim Ethem Bey, from Süleyman Ferit Eczacıbaşı to Papa Eftim, from Pilot Major Fazıl Bey, the Eagle of Anatolia, to İsmail Hakkı Tonguç, this series presents the inspiring stories of individuals whose hearts burned with love for their homeland and devotion to independence.
For Tohumluk Foundation, this project is an act of remembrance, gratitude and responsibility. To understand these heroes is to understand the values on which the Republic was built. To tell their stories is to keep their legacy alive.
The stories featured in 100 Heroes for Türkiye’s Centennial are published on the Tohumluk TV YouTube Channel as short documentary videos. All research, writing, narration, filming, editing and production were carried out by Tohumluk Foundation volunteers.
Through this project, we hope that every viewer will discover not only the lives of those who built and sustained the Republic, but also a path of inspiration for their own life.
Growing Wise Seeds
Helping children reconnect with nature, soil and sustainable living.
Growing Wise Seeds is an environmental education initiative developed by Tohumluk Foundation to reconnect children living in rural communities with nature. Through hands-on learning experiences focused on soil, seeds, biodiversity and sustainable agriculture, the project encourages curiosity, environmental responsibility and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. By nurturing knowledge alongside a love for nature, we aim to help young generations grow into informed and responsible stewards of the environment.
