The "100 Heroes for Türkiye’s Centennial" project is a creation of the Tohumluk Foundation, designed to bring to life the heroes of our recent history, all of whom have become legends, through exciting research and elegant literary skill.

We set out to understand and narrate the struggle for freedom waged by the soldiers, statesmen, local leaders, religious figures, scientists, teachers, tradesmen—in short, men, women, young, old, and even children—who lived vastly different lives but were united by a single ideal during our National Struggle and the early years of our Republic. Each of them was an instrument in the orchestra that played the Republic's National Anthem. Under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, they played their assigned notes precisely and correctly, becoming heroes who voiced freedom. They all prioritized love of country and complete independence above all else. At the cost of their possessions, properties, jobs, power, positions, ranks, families, and even their own lives, they lined up behind Mustafa Kemal and rushed to the struggle for independence. Without Mustafa Kemal, this struggle could not have been so successful, nor could we live freely in this country today without those heroes. That is precisely why it is necessary to understand, narrate, and commemorate those heroes. If we forget what they did for this country, what they gave up, what they sacrificed, we will have killed them with our own hands.

As the Tohumluk Foundation, out of a sense of loyalty and commitment, we have attempted to present the short life stories of 100 of the countless heroes who contributed to the national struggle, the founding process of the Republic of Turkey, and the Turkish Revolution, in this work commemorating the 100th anniversary of our Republic. All those who conducted the research, prepared the texts, provided the voiceovers, filmed, edited, and prepared the footage for publication are volunteers of the Tohumluk Foundation.
