ESKİŞEHİR - On 15–16 August 2026, Tohumluk Foundation proudly participated in the ETi Lifalif Eskişehir International Half Marathon and Sports Festival as part of the "Run for Good" movement.

Our volunteer runners took every step in support of the Foundation's "Let's Get Children into Sports – New Horizons from Rural Communities" project. Thanks to the generosity of 110 donors, we raised TRY 200,932, providing valuable support for children's access to sports opportunities in rural areas.

Two Days of Inspiration and Solidarity

The event began on 15 August with the opening of the Tohumluk Foundation stand at Sazova Park, where families and visitors attending the children's races learned about our educational, cultural, artistic and rural development projects.

Our stand was honored by the visit of Ahmet Çuhadar, Deputy Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, and Tezcan Al, Head of the Department of Youth and Sports Services.

On race day, our volunteers gathered once again before taking part in both the 21K and 10K races. After crossing the finish line, everyone reunited at the Tohumluk stand to celebrate another successful day of solidarity.

Visits from Turkish Marathon Legends

The Foundation's stand also welcomed two distinguished figures from Turkish athletics.

Legendary marathon champion Veli Ballı, one of Türkiye's greatest long-distance runners of the 1970s and 1980s, together with former President of the Turkish Athletics Federation and national marathon champion Mehmet Terzi, visited our volunteers and expressed their support for our mission.

Their presence added special meaning to an event dedicated to sport, solidarity and social impact.
