“Öze Doğru”: Bringing Art and Solidarity Together in İzmir
İZMİR - Art’s ability to touch our inner world can inspire a shared spirit of generosity. With this understanding, Tohumluk Foundation supported “Öze Doğru” (“Toward the Essence”), an exhibition that welcomed art enthusiasts to the İZTO Exhibition Hall in İzmir from October 12 to 15, 2026.
Organized by Deniz Erdoğdu Mosaic Workshop in collaboration with our Foundation, the exhibition featured mosaic works inspired by Van Gogh’s world of color and movement. Bringing individual pieces together into complete compositions, the works invited visitors on an inward journey through color, texture, and rhythm.
The relationship between the pieces of a mosaic also resonates with our understanding of solidarity. Just as each piece contributes its own color and shape to a composition, each person’s effort enriches a shared endeavor for social good. For us, “Öze Doğru” was a valuable opportunity to celebrate this unifying quality of art.
Art postcards prepared in support of Tohumluk Foundation also attracted considerable interest from visitors. Offering a way to carry a connection with art beyond the exhibition hall, the postcards gave visitors an opportunity to support our Foundation. Their interest strengthened the spirit of solidarity at the heart of the event.
At Tohumluk Foundation, we see culture and the arts as spaces where people can connect, encounter different forms of expression, and come together around a shared purpose. Through the artists’ work, our volunteers’ contributions, and visitors’ support, “Öze Doğru” brought this approach to life.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Deniz Erdoğdu Mosaic Workshop, all the contributing artists, our volunteers, and everyone who visited the exhibition and supported us. We will continue to strengthen connections through art and solidarity, bringing shared creativity together with social purpose.
