From Running to Giving: Sports Equipment Delivered to Children in Keles, Bursa
BURSA - At Tohumluk Foundation, we are delighted to see the support behind our “Haydi Çocuklar Spora” (“Let’s Get Children into Sports”) campaign reach children. On November 5, 2026, our Bursa volunteers visited Davut Zeki Akpınar School in Keles to deliver sports equipment made possible through the Eker run.
The visit turned the collective effort behind the campaign into practical support for children’s access to sports in a rural community. Contributions to the campaign became equipment that students can use.
Our volunteers Aslıhan Kornoşor, Elif Epiri, Gülcan Gökbora, Zeliha Şenermen, Şule Aydın, Burçak Cebeci, and Şerife Ünal took part in the visit. During the delivery, students and teachers expressed their thanks to our Foundation, and our volunteers shared in their happiness.
For us, sports create opportunities for children to be active, play together, and discover their interests. Through our campaign, we aim to help students in rural communities access these opportunities. Our gathering in Keles showed how volunteer dedication and contributions to a campaign can translate into support for children’s everyday lives.
We thank all the runners, donors, and volunteers who contributed, as well as the school administration, teachers, and students who welcomed us. At Tohumluk Foundation, we continue working together to strengthen children’s opportunities in education and sports.
