İZMİR - On Thursday, October 15, 2026, we visited Metin Arslanbaş, District Governor of Dikili, at his office to discuss potential local initiatives and strengthen the connections Tohumluk Foundation builds between urban and rural communities.

During the meeting, attended by our volunteers, we introduced our Foundation’s activities and shared the projects we are planning for villages in Dikili. We exchanged ideas about possible initiatives in the area and explored opportunities for collaboration.

For us, building local relationships is an important part of understanding community needs and developing appropriate responses. We value bringing our volunteers’ efforts together with local knowledge and experience, while making room for dialogue as projects take shape. This approach guided our visit to Dikili.

As we prepare the initiatives we hope to carry out in local villages, we see dialogue with public institutions as a valuable part of the process. Such meetings offer opportunities to share perspectives and consider how we might work together.

We sincerely thank District Governor Metin Arslanbaş for his hospitality and interest in our Foundation’s work. We also extend our thanks to the volunteers who joined the visit for their time and contributions.

At Tohumluk Foundation, we continue to work in a spirit of solidarity and volunteerism, sharing ideas and strengthening the relationships that can help bring our planned rural initiatives to life.
