BURSA - Tohumluk Foundation took part in Eker I Run in Bursa on 3–4 October 2026 as part of its "New Horizons Through Sport" project. With the support of our volunteer runners and donors, 241 donors contributed a approximately 360.000 TL to help provide sports equipment for rural village schools.

On 3 October, our foundation opened its stand outside Eker Meydan Shopping Mall alongside other civil society organisations. Visitors learned about our work and projects, while the fundraising bazaar items displayed at the stand also attracted interest.

Our Bursa volunteers were joined by Board Member and Bursa Provincial Coordinator Aslıhan Kornoşor, Board Member Hakan Osman Sert and Sports Committee Chair İbrahim Girgin, bringing together sport, volunteering and community support.

Our runners Aslıhan Sadıkoğlu Kornosor, Candan Abakay, Ertuğrul Aydın, Gonca Sezgin, Hakan Osman Sert, Hatice Ocak, İbrahim Girgin, Levent Gökbora, Orhan Yıldırar, Özlem Kök Balaban, Semra Esen, Şule Yüksel Aydın, Ülkü Senermen and Zeliha Senermen supported the project through their personal fundraising campaigns.

We warmly congratulate Aslıhan Sadıkoğlu Kornosor on earning a race placing while running for our foundation. We thank her for her efforts on the course and her commitment to helping children access sports.

The project helps children access sports shoes, sportswear, balls and other equipment; it does not involve children taking part in the race. Our runners’ efforts and our donors’ contributions help meet needs identified in advance at rural schools.

Donations reach our foundation through our volunteer runners’ personal campaign pages on the **Adım Adım / İyilik Peşinde Koş** platform. The campaign operates under the relevant governor’s office authorisation. Funds are used to meet the identified needs, and expenditure is reported.

We warmly thank all our runners, Bursa volunteers, our 241 donors and everyone who visited our stand for helping children access sports.
